To rekindle excitement in mobile payments, Visa Europe organised a unique event in one of Europe’s most successful mobile payment markets – Slovakia.


The advent of the smartphone has changed consumer shopping behaviour beyond recognition. Smartphones have firmly captured the position of “first screen”, e-commerce is on track to outpace bricks and mortar growth within the next five years, and 50 per cent of consumers now reach for their mobile phone before they start the purchasing process (according to Nilsen’s Mobile Path to Purchase study, 2013).
