Obesity is a lethal condition. It can cause high blood pressure, heart disease, diabetes, cancers, strokes, heart attacks and, often as a result of a combination of these factors, death. All this extra healthcare is costing our economies a fortune at a time when they can least afford it, but the problems do not stop there. Overweight individuals are even blamed for contributing far more towards global warming than slimmer members of society.
