Job description: 

Job Purpose:

  • Communications is considered a core driver in creating a culture of success within Kuoni Global Travel Services (GTS). The focus of the role is internal communications (80%) and external communications (20%).
  • The purpose of this role:
  • Responsible for creating and executing the strategy and plans to increase employee engagement and build the reputation of GTS - in collaboration with the GTS Leadership Team
  • Provide communications coaching and advice to the functional leaders and key stakeholders to increase impact of employee communications and build reputation of GTS externally
  • Lead communications planning and execution for all strategic change projects including business transformation, restructuring and business development
  • Project management as required for projects such as leadership / employee events, employee engagement surveys, external and internal channel improvements
  • Dedicated contact for all queries related to communications and use of corporate brand

Key Activities

Communications planning and distribution

  • Central point for all internal communications across the business
  • Manage the internal and external communications calendar (for corporate website), including all aspects of content creation and delivery across the core channels
  • Creating, amending, and distributing regional/global communications in partnership with senior business stakeholders and HR colleagues
  • Ensure the ongoing content advice and support of the communications methods and media, (eg intranet, newsletters/emails, video updates, regular business updates and webinars, and the corporate website).  
  • Regular monitoring and evaluation of core communications channels putting in place initiatives for improvement
  • Advisor / reviewer of external communications as required

Employee engagement responsibilities

  • Support or lead on the design, development and communication of local, regional and global employee engagement initiatives including:
  • Bespoke engagement campaigns
  • Employee surveys
  • Employee Value Proposition
  • Recognition programmes
  • CSR employee engagement

Knowledge, skills and experience

  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Experience in building strong relationships with all levels
  • Experience in researching, designing, planning and delivering global internal communications and employee engagement activities
  • Excellent written English, German would be an advantage
  • Experience in managing communications for global change transformation and technology projects
  • Experience of delivery within tight deadlines with accurate information
  • Experienced in managing various social media channels (sharepoint, Newsweaver, other CMS platforms)
  • Excellent PowerPoint and other communications multimedia (including movie editing)
