French RepublicFnac Darty nominates Benjamin Perret

Benjamin Perret has been appointed director of communication and public affairs of the Fnac Darty group.

He will be responsible for the external and internal communication, public affairs and cultural activities of the group. Previously, Perret held the position of Director of Communications for the ADP Group (formerly Aéroports de Paris) and participated in the launch and implementation of the Connect 2020 strategic plan and in the development of the new brand architecture of the ADP group. He joins the executive committee and will report to Enrique Martinez, Group General Manager.

Perret is a graduate of the IEP (Institut d'études politiques) in Paris and holds a DEA in Applied Economics, Business and Finance. He joined Ogilvy Public Relations in 2003 and joined Euro RSCG C&O in 2006 as a consulting director. He moved to the Caisse des Dépôts group as head of the press department before he joined the executive committee of the ADP group, as the head of the communication department.

Fnac is a large French retail chain selling cultural and electronic products, founded by André Essel and Max Théret in 1954. Its head office is in Le Flavia in Ivry-sur-Seine near Paris. Fnac is an abbreviation of Fédération Nationale d’Achats des Cadres (National Federation of Shopping for Cadres). Darty Limited, formerly Kesa Electricals plc and Darty plc, is a multinational electrical retailing company headquartered in London, United Kingdom. It was formerly a public limited company (PLC) listed on the London Stock Exchange, until it was purchased by Fnac in July 2016.
