Martin Frommhold has recently been made press officer and head of e-commerce company Otto GmbH's communications department.
Frommhold studied political science and business administration in Hanover and began his career in 1998 as a PR consultant in the banking and insurance sector. From 2002 to 2007 he was head of the press department for brand and product communication at T-Online International. Since 2007 he has been responsible for internal and external communications both nationally and internationally at European parcel delivery company, Hermes Europe GmbH.
In the communications department of Otto in Hamburg Frommhold joins Frank Surholt, deputy head of corporate PR and deputy press officer. He reports directly to Marc Opelt, current head of the sales division, who also joined the Otto management at the beginning of the year.
The Otto group, or Otto, is a mail order company and currently one of the biggest e-commerce companies, mainly based in Germany and France but operating in more than 20 countries.
