UK: Dawson to leave Travelodge for Virgin Atlantic
Greg Dawson, currently director of communications for private equity backed Travelodge Hotels Ltd, will become director of corporate communications at Virgin atlantic, effective 7 June. Dawson joined Travelodge in 2005, when he was drafted in to boost the budget hotel chain’s consumer and corporate profile as its former owners Permira prepared the business for sale.
Prior to that, he was Head of Public Relations at RBS, Royal Bank of Scotland, for three years. He worked in the RBS insurance division following its merging of household brands, Direct Line, Green Flag and Churchill.
