Gerald Hesztera

Before being appointed head of corporate communications at Europol in 2008, Gerald Hesztera reached the rank of Colonel in the Austrian Police. There, he headed the Corporate Communications department of the Austrian Criminal Intelligence Service from 2003 to 2008. He was head of Communications of the Austrian Gendarmerie from 1995 to 2002. Gerald has a keen interest in history and has written two books on history and public security.
