Communication without digital connectivity

Do Town Hall Meetings still have a role in the digital age?

From its base in The Hague, the International Criminal Court often has to communicate with communities in remote, hard-to-reach places far from mainstream communication networks and with little connectivity.

The Court’s Chief of Public Information and Outreach, Sonia Robla, explained to Communication Director just how they overcome these tough challenges and makes a case for the effectiveness of Town Hall Meetings even in this age of online communications.

This interview was filmed at the European Communication Summit, held in Brussels on June 25 and 26 2015.

The Summit is the largest gathering of in-house communication professionals in Europe, and is organised by the European Association of Communication Directors (EACD: www.eacd-online.eu) and Communication Director magazine (www.communication-director.com).
