Improvisation and poaching – two successful steps to communications assessment

 
In a context of acute competition, ever-increasing solicitation of the client, growing unemployment, predicted end of work under its various aspects, globalisation, the gap between the sphere of work and that of the economy continues to widen. Managers end up expecting more initiative, involvement and competence not only from their executive staff but from everybody working in the firm. The department of internal communication in its aim to improve the economic development of the organization will see its mission extended to mobilization, cooperation, solidarity and collective watch.

Arlette Bouzon

Professor Arlette Bouzon heads the organisational communication department at the University of Toulouse III. A member of CERTOP-ERITA and SFSIC (Soc. Française en Sciences de l‘Info & de la Communication) she has long managed a research group (Orgnet) in organisational communication. In 2006, she moderated at the AIERI conference in Porto Alegre and is an active member of European Communication Research and Education Association (ECREA).

Joëlle Devillard

Joëlle Devillard is senior lecturer in communication and information sciences at Toulouse III and a member of ERITA and SFSIC. Most of her published work deals with problems linked to the communications evaluation in various fields (e.g. social sciences, tourism). Questioning the relevance of quantitative methods, she highlights the need to take into account specific qualities to reach a higher degree of expertise in the implementation of evaluations.
