When I first started working on corporate reputation, I was invited to make a presentation to the management committee of one of the main business units of the company I was working for. I shall never forget the way I was introduced: “Alberto is in charge of corporate reputation, and his problem is that apparently we’re not doing too well in some of the rankings. He’s going to tell us about his problem, and we’ll see if there’s anything we can do to help him.”

Alberto Andreu Pinillos
Alberto Andreu Pinillos has been the managing director of corporate reputation and corporate responsibility at Spanish telecommunications giant Telefonica since 2001. He started his professional career in the Research Department of the Instituto de Empresa. He worked for Compañía Española de Petróleos as a manager of internal communication development, before later, joining the banking sector, first at Banesto, as a manager of internal communication and corporate identity; and later on at Santander Central Hispano, where he was a managing director of corporate identity and culture.
