A balanced approach

As a trusted partner, communication leaders understand the strategic direction of their organisation and both challenge and support leaders, partner with peers and translate business priorities into meaningful messages.

In September last year a twist was laid down in my career path when I had the opportunity to move into a new role outside the familiar world of communications. I took on the role of implementation lead for an organisational transformation project that would see World Vision Australia design and implement an entirely new operating model. This was a significant step for me professionally and one that perhaps surprised my colleagues at World Vision, because for the last five years they have really only known me as the internal communicator.
