Federal Republic of GermanyErgo welcomes Oliver Stock

Oliver Stock will be the new communications officer for insurance giant ERGO (ERGO Group) from April.

He is currently deputy chief editor of German weekly business news magazine, WirtschaftsWoche. A studied economist and historian, Stock was previously a journalist for leading German language business newspaper Handelsblatt, starting in the year 2000 before becoming deputy chief editor in 2011. He joined Swiss big-data company Sentifi as chief editor in March 2016 Stock before returning to Düsseldorf late last year.

ERGO is a group of insurance companies owned by Munich Re. ERGO is one of the largest insurance groups in Europe. It operates in over 30 countries, especially in Europe and Asia. In Europe, ERGO claims to be number one in the health and legal expenses insurance segments, and in its home market of Germany it is among the market leaders. It has over 40,000 full-time employees.
