FR: Barnini joins CGG as Senior Vice President, Group Communications

CGG announces the appointment of Christophe Barnini as Senior Vice President, Group Communications. Reporting to Jean-Georges Malcor, CEO of CGG, Christophe becomes a permanent member of CGG's Management Committee. Christophe is based in Paris. This appointment took effect on 15th May 2013.

Previously Investor Relations Director, Christophe leads the Group Communication department and supervises the Investor Relations department. In this position, he is responsible for driving the Group's communications strategy worldwide, including business communications, internal and external communications and corporate branding, as well as financial communications. He is a graduate of the INSEEC Bordeaux Business School and holds a Master's degree in Industrial Organization and Logistics from the ESSEC Business School.

Christophe joined CGG in 1996 as Group Financial Controller in charge of listing CGG on the NYSE. He was North and Latin America Finance Vice President from 1998 to 2001 and then Group Corporate Marketing Manager until 2007.
