GB: Victoria Pender joins Cobham as Executive Vice President, Communications

Cobham has appointed Victoria Pender to the position of Executive Vice President (EVP), Communications, with effect from 30 September 2013. Victoria brings to Cobham more than 20 years of business experience and a strong background in leadership and change management, providing strategic counsel to companies operating in sensitive, regulated environments.

Operating from the Group’s Wimborne, UK office, Victoria will report directly to Cobham plc Chief Executive Officer Bob Murphy, and serve as a member of Cobham’s Group Executive committee. Previous to joining Cobham, she was a member of the Executive Committee and Group Director, Government & Corporate Affairs for Network Rail - owner and operator of the UK's rail infrastructure, with a £6bn turnover, 37,000 employees and 2,500 stations used by more than 1 billion passengers each year. Prior to that, she held a number of roles, including Director of Communications, Tube Lines Limited which operates one-third of the London Underground system, and Marketing Director for the company that designed, developed and implemented the Oystercard - the smart card travel system used on public transport, in London.
