Björn Roodzant has been appointed Vice President Marketing and Communication at Sandvik Coromant. He takes over from Jessica Alm who recently became Executive Vice President and Head of Group Communications at the Sandvik Group.
Roodzant has worked for Sandvik Coromant for 9 years, including 3 years in Sweden and six years in the USA. His work has included positions within marketing, sales planning, communications, new product introductions, E-marketing and E-commerce. He holds a Master’s degree in Marketing and Strategy at University of Linköping, Sweden.

The company began as a small, production unit for cemented carbide tools in Sandviken, Sweden when Wilhelm Haglund was assigned the job as manager of the unit in 1942. However, new innovations and manufacturing methods led to the establishment of a more industrialized unit in Gimo, Sweden in 1951. Today, the production facility is connected worldwide to three distribution centers in the US, Europe and Asia.
